      @ PeterM

Your network contains a server named Server1 that runs a Server Core installation of Windows Server 2008 R2. Server1 is configured as a DNS server. You need to ensure that Server1 **only** resolves name queries from IPv6 clients. What should you do?

A: Run netsh.exe and specify the dnsclient parameter.
B: Run dnscmd.exe and specify the /config parameter.
C: Run dnscmd.exe and specify the /resetlistenaddresses parameter.
D: Run netsh.exe and specify the interface parameter.

Right answer is B, not C.
Such as wrote in explanation "dnscmd /config /EnableIPv6 1"
For more information, see Start or stop a DNS server. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc783049(WS.10).aspx

With this explanation you indeed enable the ability to resolve ipv6 dns queries. The problem however is that the question states that it should 'only' be able to do IPv6 and not ipv4. With answer C you disable ipv4.

      Dnscmd resetlistenaddresses

Specifies the IP addresses on a server that listen for DNS client requests.
      Syntax

Art Image dnscmd [ServerName] /resetlistenaddresses [ListenAddress]
      Parameters

      ServerName
Specifies the DNS server the administrator plans to manage, represented by IP address, FQDN, or Host name. If omitted, the local server is used.

      ListenAddress
Specifies an IP address on the DNS server that listens for DNS client requests. If no listen address is specified, then all IP addresses on the server listen for client requests.

      Remarks

By default, all IP addresses on a DNS server listen for client DNS requests.

      Sample Usage

      dnscmd dnssvr1.contoso.com /resetlistenaddresses 10.0.0.1

If you put a Ipv6 address at the end of /resetlisten addresses then it will 'only' listen to that addres.

Passed the exam on 26 semp 2012. Got 892 score. Had some new and slightly modified questions. I think the dump is about 90 % valid and can be used for studing. But there are some wrong answers and I advice read the discussion in this thread.

Your network contains a server named DC1 that has the DHCP Server server role installed.
DC1 has a DHCP scope for the 10.10.10.0/24 network ID.
You discover the following warning message in the Event Iog on DC1: "Scope, Scope1, is 98 percent full with only two IP addresses remaining."
You need to ensure that DC1 has enough IP addresses to assign to clients. The solution must not cause any IP conflicts.
      What should you do?

      Answer in dump:
D: Increase the database cleanup interval
But i think it's wrong. We must DECREASE the database cleanup interval, it's it's logical. See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc726940(v=ws.10).aspx. But this response is not represented. Therefore, correct answer, i think, is modify the start address

Sanctum, I think the anwer is to modify the starting address of the scope. The answer is in the numbers.

      10.10.10.0/24
98% full and only 2 adresses yet (meaning only 100 were available at the time. with a /24 mask there should be much more than 100)

The DHCP scope needs to be increased to provide more IP addresses, so just change the starting address

hello, i think that you are right with the single-label name question …. again :)

And about the second question with dns application directory …. I think that both options are correct in real life, but i don´t know what is a right by Microsoft :(
Problem is that i think that you can change the replication scope before and after you add a replica to the application directory :(

But i found this article http://www.windowstricks.in/2009/09/application-directory-partition.html
      and this article says that:
      1. create partition
      2. ad replica
      3. change zone
      as you wrote.

Tomorrow I'm going to do this exam and let you know.

Your network contains an Active Directory forest. The forest contains a server named server1.contoso.com. You need to ensure that all DNS clients can use DNS to resolve the single-label name of a server named Server1. What should you do?
      Sequence in dump
      1. Create a DNS zone named GlobalNames
      2. Add a canonical name (CNAME) record to the zone
      3. Run dnscmd.exe and specify the Config parameter

In real life its works, but according to article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731744.aspx
      1. Create a DNS zone named GlobalNames
      2. Run dnscmd.exe and specify the Config parameter
      3. Add a canonical name (CNAME) record to the zone

Your network contains an Active Directory domain. All domain controllers run Win2008R2. The domain contains three domain controllers named DC1, DC2 and DC3. All of the domain controllers have the DNS server role installed. You create a new Active Directory-integrated DNS zone on DC1. You need to ensure that the zone is only replicated to DC1 and DC3. The solution must ensure that all zone replication traffic is encrypted.

      Sequence in dump
      1. Create an application directory partition
      2. Change the zone replication scope
      3. Add a replica tp the application directory partition

      I think correct is:
      1. Create an application directory partition
      2. Add a replica tp the application directory partition
      3. Change the zone replication scope

      What you think?

Your network contains a server named Server1. Server1 has the DHCP server role installed and contains multiple scopes. You restore the DHCP database and discover that the active IP address leases are not displayed. You need to ensure that all IP address leases are displayed. What should you do?

      A. Reconcile all of the scopes.
      B. Run jetpack.exe dhcp.mdb temp.mdb.
      C. Restart the DHCP Server service.
      D. Authorize Server1.

Answer in dump C, but is wrong.
      Correct answer is A

After you generate a new database file, you may notice that the scope information is present, but no active leases are displayed. To regain the active leases, you must reconcile the database with the information in the registry using the following steps:

      To Ilya.
Thank you very much for your concern.
I think I already figured that out, it's a one question, but different choices.
Based on the answers, you need to choose the right one.
      It's little bit tricky.

Your network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. The domain contains two Active Directory sites named Site1 and Site2.
You have a domain-based Distributed File System (DFS) namespace named contoso.compublic that has a single namespace server located in Site1.
You install another namespace server in Site2.
You need to verify that the client computers in Site2 use the new namespace server. You want to achieve this goal by using the minimum amount of administrative effort.
      Which tool should you use?

      Q-2=
      A.DfsrAdmin
      B.Dfsutil
      C.Dfsrdiag
      D.Dfscmd

      And Q-1=
A.Services for Network File System (NFS)
      B.Dfsrdiag
      C.DFS Management
      D.Share and Storage Management

      It's because I have Windows Server 2008 R2 VM and I can check. :)

There is no such option in modify update and languages but there is a policy Group Policy Manager under Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Specify intranet Microsoft update service location.

Your network contains a single Active Directory domain named contoso.com. The domain contains two servers named Server1 and Server2. Server1 and Server2 are namespace servers for the contoso.com DFS1 namespace.
You need to ensure that users only connect to the contoso.comDFS1 namespace on Server1 if Server2 is unavailable.
How should you configure the contoso.comDFS1 namespace?
      A. From the properties of the contoso.comDFS1 namespace, modify the referrals settings.
      B. From the properties of the contoso.comDFS1 namespace, modify the advanced settings.
      C. From the properties of the SERVER1DFS1 namespace servers entry, modify the advanced settings.
      D. From the properties of the SERVER2DFS1 namespace servers entry, modify the advanced settings

      Answer in dump D.
But C is also suitable. We can select from properties of SERVER1 "Last among all targets". In this case Server1 will be selected only if Server2 is unavailable. So which answer is correct?

      Exam G, G20,

Your network contains a Windows Server Update Services named Server 1. You need to configure all WSUS computers to download approved updates directly from Microsoft Update servers. The solution must ensure that all WSUS computers report successful installation of updates to Server1. What should you do?

Answer: From Active Directory, deploy a GPO.

However the answer in the dump is "From Server1, modify the update files and languages options which is wrong".
