Out of the hundreds of posts on this site regarding the three bay hard drive question, I've only seen ONE guy that got it right. It's actually a bit of a trick question. This EXACT question can be found in the ExamCram book and CD. And it comes with a VERY detailed explanation. And that one guy who knew the answer, and knew where it came from, did NOT divulge the answer. I'm not going to either. The CORRECT answer is out there. You just need to find, and understand it… It's not as simple as you might think.

definitely true. this dump covered all but maybe 7 questions and 4 sims.

the sims started my exam and are exactly what everyone has been saying they are.
1: drag and drop 15 motherboard parts. ( the 15 were… cpu, cpu power, ram banks, pci e, pcie x1, pcie x4, pcie x16, cpu fan, serial port connector, ide connector, fdd connector, i/o connectors, sata connector, main power and cmos battery)
2: choose fewest IDE drives for data redunacy and speed…answer is 2x 7200 drives…leave the third bay open.
3: build a htpc, gaming system and a thick client… options included 15 different specs and you have to put 5 in each of the 3 pc's…just learn the optimum specs for those 3 types of pc's..
4: you had 4 pictures of connectors and you have to say which each cable was. they were a 19 pin hdmi, 15 pin vga, s video and dvi.

other than that there were only about 7 questions that werent on these dumps.. one was about nat, cant remember the rest but they are all easy and the ones on this dump are word for word on the test…amazing…

thanks to everyone who helped…i got an 880

      Passed with 900/900
      Very easy exam

@ George you unfortionatly picked the wrong answer for the harddisk question. In the question they specificly ask for the fastest IDE solution. You have to pick 2 IDE disks of 7200 RPM (the options are sas 15k/ sas 10k/ ide 7,2k/Ide 5,4k

Hey pete uk, try version 3.0 or above.
    • bmk from India 04 01 2013, 5:54 PM Report Spam
It works! Got 880/900. But three simulations and two questions were present. The simulation includes identification of components in motherboard, identifying different types of ports (like HDMI, DVI, etc.) and fixing suitable HDDs in suitable drive bays.

      The two questions are:
      1. How to dispose CRT monitors?
      2. Which of the following connectors is round in shape? BNC, RJ45, USB, HDMI

Rest of the questions are same. Practising only this will definitely make a pass.

3/4 new questions as simulators, as mentioned in previous posts below.

      1. Build a home media pc and then use the other parts to build a office pc/
      2. name all parts on the motherboard, 17 parts.
      3. Frequency, length and what the device is used for. IR, bluetooth and radio waves, drag and drop exercise.

All the remainding questions were from this dump. 5/5

      Passed today

some new questions but still easy to answer

      Had 4 sims
one was configure a gaming, htpc, and thin client. This was a little more complicated but the general idea was to setup the HTPC with an HTPC case, TV Tuner, and midrange graphics/cpu/ram. The Gaming computer was a full tower ATX case, the best hardware (Phenom AMD CPU 3ghz in this case) and a special cooling system. The thin client was very basic with 2gb memory and the remaining lower end hardware + Windows 7 32bit Pro.

second was to drag n drop motherboard parts

third was match plugs and Connectors, HDMI (19 Pins-Type A) S-Video, VGA, Serial..

and last one Build up RAID with higher performance and lowest drive possible. There were 3 bays to use and there were 4 options of HDD to choose 15000, 10000, 7200, and 5400 rpm. You can use the same type of HDD more than once but the bay can accommadate only one HDD. I choose SAS 15000 rpm and put it on 2 bays for Raid 0

Before u sit the exam besides doing the dump become familiar with connectors, sockets and of course all motherboard parts.

Thanks to all who contributed to this dump
Last and not least, take your time and do not rush so questions are not renewed. Give other ppl the opportunity too :)

Seriously, you shouldn't finish that fast. It's blatantly obvious you're just memorizing answers not bothering to study. Not trying to say we're all any different, but it's definitely ruining things for others. Might want to read the warning before the tests as well as any indication of cheating can result in all certs removed and banned from future tests. Be wise please and yes this dump is solid.
