About to take the N+, going by the past exams on this questions, I think the dump are great treasure to study with not pieces to be crammed for exams. Questions do repeat but never framed the same way. Anybody that is critizing the dumps must think again!

Oh yeah! Forgot to mention… I used this VCE to study and it helped a TON on studying… but only had about 5 actual questions from it on the exam. Read/Understand the material

      Good luck!

      Hey, all

So first time poster but wanted to give some advice:

I passed this certification today and passed Security+ about a month ago.

What I've seen with both CompTIA tests that I have passed is that the dumps should ONLY be used as a study guide. I only had about 3 questions from the dumps I studied on the actual Security+ test and only maybe 5 on the Network+. For both exams I read the entire Sybex study guide and watched the CBT Nuggets. I then took two different dumps and did practice tests for about 3 days before the test (going through about 300 – 400 questions until I felt confident that I grasped the concepts).

A tip for Network +: Know your ports (SMTP, SNMP, DNS, SSH, Telnet, FTP, TFTP, NTP, NNTP, and DHCP just to name the tip of the iceberg!) Obviously, know your OSI Layers and what protocols run on what layers (i.e: UDP/TCP for Layer 4) and STUDY ROUTING PROTOCOLS! This was a bit of a weak point for me and I got hammered with RIPv2, BGP, etc. questions on the test! Also, I had about 4 questions on VoIP such as what protocols VoIP uses, etc. I did not study up on VoIP much and missed these questions. STUDY VoIP! -Mind you, every test is different… you may not get any questions on VoIP but I sure did.

Passed with an 820 for Security+ and an 829 on Network+. If you have any questions or want any further advice, feel free to email me at: sgtjojoe@yahoo.com.

      Good luck!
      Network+, Security+, ITIL v3 Foundations

If you are responsible for writing some of these exam questions, please, use proper grammar, be careful of typos, and for god sake MAKE SURE THE ANSWER IS CORRECT!!

Took the exam two days ago in Canada. This dumb is not valid. However, i used this dump all 1427 questions to study as well as the PrepLogic mega guide network + book. This is all i used. I was able to pass but the exam is tough. hints: Know the difference between IGP and EGP thats one of the questions. Also know the speeds for all fibre optic cables. Also know all your routing protocols especially OSPF and RIP. Also know that VOIP uses SIP and RTP. Also for the test know the concept being channel interference on 802.1b/g and how to avoid it as there is a question on that topic. i cant remember anything else right now im just glad its over. im thinking about going into a higher security exam now that i've done Linux+,security+ and network+ now.

this file has already been found invalid. so if the version of this file is already out and is 250 questions more, this file is now completely void.

Took the exam today and scored 807. This was a good guide but was not at all valid as a dump. I studied with the updated questions and a book or two (I was also certified 10 years ago and have been working in the industry since then). Lots of questions about routing protocols and cable lengths.

Some of my students have taken the test with this dump and said it is not a mirror, but it is a very good guide. A lot of questions were based off of this dump. OSI, Cable standards were both big.

      @ mr.a+

You don't see valid dumps for this exam because CompTIA just changed the exam in 07y. It will probably be another month or 2 before you see anything legit.

Passed Today 824 Score in Caribbean, Dumps are invalid maybe 5% or so', Exam was quite different, lot of tricky questions and some very easy, use this dump only for the last stage of your studies only for practice, use Sybex book for reference, testout, professor messer, trainsignal and cbt nuggets videos and you should be all right, all of that worked fine for me and you can find those resources online for free.

I answered C on the late collison question, I believe I got it right. I had not really come accross that topic in my studies though, it might have been an ungraded question…

valid only as a source of study. The issues are quite similar.

Wiki has this: "Late Collision in computer networking is a type of collision found in the CSMA/CD protocol standard. If a collision error occurs after the first 512 bit times of data are transmitted by the transmitting station[1], a late collision is said to have occurred."

If so the answer is C

    • ??? from Canada 09 01 2010, 2:21 PM Report Spam
Which of the following best describes a late collision?
      a) It occurs when speeds are mismatched.
      b) It can only occur after a regular collision has occurred.
      c) It occurs after the first 64 bytes of the frame are transmitted
      d) It does not have as much affect on the network as does a regular collision.

      ok so whats the answer

This dump is absolutely 100% invalid in the US. I just passed in CA with an 802. I did not see a single question from this dump on the exam, not even close in my opinion either. I found some older practice tests to be more helpful. The questions have been completely re-worded or changed.

I did get questions just like the ones Joe got though. Had questions on booting diskless workstations, SONET, packet loss, maximum range of cable types, telnet, & punch down tools.

This is a question I remember:
Which of the following best describes a late collision?
      a) It occurs when speeds are mismatched.
      b) It can only occur after a regular collision has occurred.
      c) It occurs after the first 64 bytes of the frame are transmitted
      d) It does not have as much affect on the network as does a regular collision.

Just passed the exam with an 845, and according to the sheet they gave me after the test I got like 10 wrong. I have to say it was A LOT easier than I thought it would be. I didn't see a single question from any of these dumps, but I would say about 90% of the questions I got were essentially the same questions as some of the questions on this dump, just worded a little differently. I did get some weird questions though that I had not seen on any of these dump though. Here is some that I remember:
Which protocol is used for booting diskless workstations?
      A) IGMP
      B) SNMP
      C) RARP
      D) TCP

      Sonet is considered:
      A) Point to Point
      B) Point to Multipoint
      C) Star
      D) Bus

I also got one asking me why when a technician pinged a workstation at first it received 25% packet loss then received no packet loss after the first ping.

There were no novell, 10base2, 10base5, Linux, Unix, or Apple questions, but I did get one subnetting question. I also got two questions asking me the maximum length of cat cables. 05be 3 or 4 network troubleshooting questions, like 6 or 7 port questions, several command prompt questions, and maybe 6 OSI model questions. If you study this dump you will be fine.
