A user exists within an office of IP phones, all of which have the same pickup group. A call comes into a phone of another office worker who is currently at lunch. What should the user do to have the call redirected to his or her phone?
A.Press the "Pickup" softkey and then the line that is ringing.
B.Press the "Call Pickup" softkey only.
C.Press the "Call Pickup" softkey and then the line that is ringing.
      D.Press the "Pickup" softkey only.
      Correct Answer is : D

There is no "Call pickup" softkey in IP phone, call pick is the feature in CUCM, "Pickup" is the softkey which will diplay on IP Phone. I did practically tested in Lab, I am not able to paste the pic of ip phone here.

      Question 3
In which two ways can an administrator reset an IP phone that is registered with Cisco Unified Communications Manager? (Choose two)

      A. Phone can be reset in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration.
      B. Phone can be reset in the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express CLI.
      C. Press the * * #* * key combination on the IP phone keypad.
      D. Enter the reset ephone command in the switch.
      E. Press the * * #* key combination on the IP phone keypad.
      F. Press the ##**# key combination on the IP phone keypad.

To test Ip Phone we can also use CLI —> under ephone mode rest command.
but here mentioned is CUCM not CME, so B is incoreect answer.
To rest the Ip Phone using **#** we should first to the phone setting menu .
      A and C are correct !!

      This question is wrong

Manager Express that is configured with SIP phones?"
      1. Gatekeeper
      2. Gateway
      3. H.323 trunk
      4. SIP trunk
      5. Cisco Unified Border Element

Answer 4 in my opinion because nowhere in the study guide book is CUBE ever mentioned. If you have Jeremy's book and have seen it please let me know where. My source is the book and the fact that throughout, it has diagrams of sip trunks talking with sccp devices and vice versa. CUBE is nowhere to be found. Gatekeeper is mentioned once and not in reference to this but instead to bandwidth.

      Guys,

For the question: which is NOT a source of Cisco unified reporting? The dumps say CUP DB. But according to the following URL, the answer should be CUCM DB:

      http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cups/8_0/english/curt/administration/guide/curptg.html

Quote: "How the Cisco Unified Reporting Application Works

The Cisco Unified Reporting web application deploys to all servers in a cluster at installation time. Reports are generated from database records. When you generate a report in Cisco Unified Reporting, the report combines data from one or more sources on one or more servers into one output view. For example, you can view a report that shows the hosts file for all servers in the cluster.

      Data Sources

The application captures information from any of the following sources on the publisher server and each subscriber server:

      •RTMT counters
      •CDR_CAR
      •CUP DB
      •disk files
      •OS API calls
      •network API calls
      •CLI"

      What is the right answer?

Passed yesterday. 930/1000. I can confirm Evgenij answer to this question:

Manager Express that is configured with SIP phones?"
      1. Gatekeeper
      2. Gateway
      3. H.323 trunk
      4. SIP trunk
      5. Cisco Unified Border Element

      Correct answer is 5.

Also place attention to questions from "naming convention" and i have the video question with one more possible answer. I had to choose 4 answers instead of 3. The possible answer were "bursty", "greedy", "tcp retransmit", "udp priority" and "benign". You should also check the greedy checkbox.

Thanks to exam collection, to dump authors and to voice tut and good luck to everyone!!!!! This is done!!!!

      Dear All,
Key Concept: Keep this in mind with respect to the version of CUPC in use:
      1. If using CUPC version 8.0+, select Cisco Unified Client Services Framework as the
      Phone Type:
¡ö CSF devices can be named anything you like; there isn’t a naming convention, but
there is a limit of 15 characters (letters and numbers only).
      2. If using CUPC version 7.0, select Cisco Unified Personal Communicator as the Phone
Type. CUPC version 7.0 devices must follow a specific naming convention:
¡ö The CUPC v7.0 device name must start with the letters “UPC,” followed by a derivation
      of the username.
¡ö The CUPC v7.0 device name can contain only numbers and uppercase letters; it
can be a maximum of 12 characters after the “UPC” prefix.
¡ö For example: The CUPC 7.0 device name for the user ID “Mike.Valentine” would
      be “UPCMIKEVALENTIN.”
This might seem counterintuitive at first. Just remember that the CSF is the newer way of
doing things, so the newer version of CUPC uses CSF. The newer version has no naming
restrictions; again, newer is easier and fancier.
(Note: Taken from CCNA voice official cert)
    • Rohit from India 02 20 2013, 1:57 PM Report Spam
@Juan-u are vry much rght option b is the right one and device framework client service has no naming convention so go with option b.
