According to the Cisco quick reference for this exam, the FCC specified power rule for point to point states that the maxium EIRP has a ratio of 3:1 for transmit power and cable loss / antenna gain. Therefore, with a cut from 14 dBm to 7 dBm in transmit power of the radio, the antenna strength should be boosted from 6 dBm to 29 dBm. I understand the FCC is the body regulating the USA, but I believe that Mexico also follows this regulation. If the antenna strength were only to increase from 7 dBm to 13, the resulting signal strength would definitely drop as a result… Any thoughts?
